While the plea agreement represents a positive development for Porter from a legal standpoint, his history of troubling off-court behavior means that he's unlikely to be signed at any point in the near future.

Porter, along with two second-round picks, was traded to Oklahoma City on Tuesday in exchange for Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Victor Oladipo, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Porter has been waived by the Thunder following the deal.

A 37 percent shooter from the field this season, Porter can't be expected to be this efficient in most games, but so long as he continues to handle a 30-plus-minute role, he'll remain a good bet to put up points, assists and three-pointers in droves.

He remains a high-upside offensive player capable of scoring in bunches and racking up threes and assists, but the turnovers have dampened Porter's fantasy output thus far.

Coming off of a 50-point eruption against Milwaukee on Thursday, Porter followed up with a decidedly less-explosive performance Saturday night. Still, the ex-Cavalier led the Rockets in field-goal attempts while tacking on multiple three-pointers for the seventh time in the last eight games.

Porter could not be stopped offensively, as he recorded a new career-high point total and picked up his fourth double-double of the season. The second-year guard struggled in his return from a three-game absence due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols Tuesday but he certainly shook off any remaining rust Thursday. With John Wall (hamstring) out for the remainder of the season, Porter should see plenty of opportunities and could have a big last few weeks of the year.

The 20-year-old returned from a three-game absence due to the league's COVID-19 protocols and posted an inefficient 10 points on 12 shot attempts. Before entering the protocols, Porter was averaging 17.0 points, 6.4 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 2.4 three-pointers in 35.0 minutes over his last five games. The second-year guard will look to bounce back shooting-wise Thursday at home against the Bucks.

Porter went through practice Monday and will make his return to action Tuesday night against Minnesota, Cayleigh Griffin of ATT SportsNet Southwest reports.

After missing three games while dealing with the league's COVID-19 protocols, Porter was cleared to return to the team Monday, and after putting in a full practice he's been cleared to return Tuesday. Porter has been excellent for the Rockets since he debuted, and he's been one of the few consistent sources of offense for Houston. In 31.7 minutes per game, he's averaged 15.5 points, 6.2 assists and 3.8 rebounds. His absence will open up minutes for Avery Bradley, DaQuan Jeffries and Armoni Brooks. It's not clear when Porter is expected to clear protocols.

Porter has had a few off nights but that can be expected out of a young player, though he's been a steady performance of late for Houston. He has scored at least 15 points in four of his last five games and has registered double-digit in all but two contests since joining the Rockets back in late March.

Porter totaled 22 points (8-15 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven assists, three rebounds and a steal over 32 minutes during the 114-110 win over the Magic on Sunday.

Porter sat at the final 5:05 of the third because of foul trouble and would eventually foul out with over seven minutes to go in the game. Still, he was one of three players to hit the 20-point mark and managed to lead the Rockets in assists. After putting up a dud performance Friday, Porter managed to bounce back for his second 20-point outing in his last four contests.

Porter finished Friday's blowout loss to Denver with four points (1-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists and three rebounds.

The game was over by halftime, but Porter still saw his regular workload (32 minutes) and simply wasn't able to get anything going offensively. The effort was a major letdown after he'd posted 22 and 19 points, respectively, over his last two games. Porter will look to bounce back Sunday against the Magic.

Despite an inefficient shooting performance, Porter was able to score in double figures for the 10th time in his last 11 games. Over that span, the guard has been a solid offensive contributor for fantasy managers, averaging 16.1 points, 6.5 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game. Porter has also picked up at least one steal in three consecutive contests.

Porter mustered 22 points (7-15 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 14 assists, five rebounds and two steals across 40 minutes in Monday's loss against the Suns.

Porter has been scorching hot of late and dished out a career-high 14 dimes while also posting his fourth game with at least 20 points over his last 10 appearances. The second-year guard out of USC is averaging 15.8 points and 6.8 assists per game over that aforementioned 10-game span.

Porter posted 14 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3PT, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one block in a 102-93 win against the Mavericks on Wednesday.

Porter has taken a high volume of shots since joining the Rockets in March. Although his field-goal percentage hasn't gotten much better, his ability to snag rebounds and assists has, as he's averaging 5.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game in April. The 20-year-old has struggled with keeping possession of the ball, averaging 5.3 turnovers a game over his team's last four games. Expect the guard's playing time to remain fairly high as the team lacks a quality shooting guard with Victor Oladipo now gone.

Porter collected 20 points (5-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 9-10 FT), nine rebounds and eight assists in a 133-130 loss to the Suns on Monday.

Porter put together a strong all-around performance and picked up a new season-high rebound total. It was also the guard's sixth consecutive game scoring in double figures and fifth consecutive game with at least five assists. Porter has been very effective when in the starting lineup this season, averaging 18.4 points, 6.4 assists and 4.1 rebounds in his 10 starts this year.

This is about as cliched as it gets for Porter who is going to be given a green light moving forward. While he is a firm must-roster player, there are a couple of glaring flaws in his fantasy game. His struggles from the free-throw line are evident, highlighted by the fact he is shooting just 58 percent on the season. He is also connecting on just 1.4 triples per contest, a number that he is doing his best to rectify. If you have him on your roster, just be prepared for the hit to your percentages and everything will be sweet.

Porter recorded 10 points (5-17 FG, 0-7 3Pt), three rebounds and five assists during 36 minutes in the 120-110 loss to Memphis on Monday.

Porter saw a dramatic dip in efficiency in his second game back from a quad injury in the loss. He was not able to hit a single shot from the arc and he had a mediocre night on the floor in general. The guard was surrounded by plenty of drama this season and he found himself with one final chance thanks to the Rockets. Since joining them he has thrived in a starting role for the majority of his starts. He is averaging 16.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists in 29.4 minutes since his arrival to Houston. These stats should only continue to rise if he maintains a starting role for the fast paced Rockets.

Porter finished Saturday's win over the Timberwolves with 25 points (10-15 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds and two assists.

After missing the previous three games with a quad injury, Porter made his return to the starting lineup and saw 31 minutes of action. He was the Rockets' leading scorer and one of only two Houston players (D.J. Augustin) to reach the 20-point plateau. With Victor Oladipo in Miami, Porter should continue to be a productive option for the lottery-bound Rockets going forward.

Porter pitched in nine points (4-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three steals, one rebound and one block in 16 minutes during Monday's 115-100 win over the Pistons.

Porter returned to the rotation following a 10-game absence with a sprained left knee and posted a quality line in limited minutes. It's the fourth time through 35 appearances that he has amassed three swipes, and Porter has been a pleasant surprise and could find himself more involved here in the second half of the campaign, particularly if the team swings a trade or two before the deadline.

Porter (knee) will play in Monday's contest against Detroit, Spencer Davies of BasketballInsiders.com reports.

It'll be the rookie's first game since logging 19 minutes against Minnesota back on Jan. 5, snapping a streak of 10 straight missed matchups due to a lingering left knee sprain. Porter will reportedly ease back into the rotation, meaning a minutes restriction is likely for the guard versus the Pistons on Monday. Porter's return will likely also affect teammate Alfonzo McKinnie's minutes moving forward.

The Cavs haven't said much about Porter since he was diagnosed with a sprained left knee early in the month, but it appears he'll have a good chance to get back on the floor Monday. Even if he's ultimately held out, Porter was given a four-to-six-week timetable as of Jan. 9, so he's well ahead of that initial estimation.
