Caesars Entertainment’s newest casino is slated to open its doors to the public by the end of the year, but the temporary casino in Danville will continue to operate until the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the permanent location.
Caesars Virginia Inches Closer
A temporary Caesars casino has been operating in Danville, Virginia, since May 15, 2023, but the grand opening of the permanent Caesars Virginia should be happening before the end of the year. Construction began on August 12, 2022, which means it will be a little over two years from start to finish before the public is welcomed into the $750 million gambling palace.
Director of Human Resources, Youshique Gilbert, said, “We’re gonna be able to provide to our guests which we call our Southern Farm style service, which puts us above the rest when it comes to service and luxury.”
The hotel will consist of 320 rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, over 50,000 square feet of conference area and meeting rooms, a spa, a fitness center, and an entertainment venue with a 2500 seating capacity. There will also be a dozen restaurants and bars located throughout the facility.
The casino will hold 800 slot machines, video poker, and electronic games, along with 33 table games featuring Blackjack, Baccarat, Mississippi Stud, and Ultimate Texas Hold ‘em. Craps and roulette will also be available for casino patrons.
Ramsay’s Kitchen Comes to Caesars
It was not until the middle of October of this year that it was announced that multi-Michelin star chef Gordon Ramsay would be bringing his brand to Caesars Virginia in the form of Ramsay’s Kitchen. It will be the celebrity chef’s first foray into the Virginia market.
“Caesars Virginia sets the standard for approachable luxury, and I’m so proud to open my first restaurant here inside this beautiful resort,” said Chef Ramsay. “My longstanding partnership with Caesars has proven to be a fan favorite time and time again. I’m beyond excited to continue that here in the Commonwealth of Virginia by sharing my take on global cuisine.”
Chef Ramsay’s signature Beef Wellington is always a show stealer, but the menu will also include appetizers such as Virginia oysters, jumbo lump crab cakes, and sticky chicken wings, while entrees include crispy skin salmon, pan-seared scallops, or even a 24-ounce bone-in ribeye as another beef option. Chef Ramsay’s signature sticky toffee pudding is almost as renowned as his beef Wellington.
Chris Albrecht, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Caesars Virginia, stated, “Ramsay’s Kitchen brings an elevated dining option not just to our resort, but it brings a world-class option that the region hasn’t seen. We’re so grateful that Chef Ramsay chose Caesars Virginia for his latest Ramsay’s Kitchen, and we look forward to introducing our guests to this phenomenal restaurant.”
Gordon Ramsay is the proud owner of eight Michelin stars, one of the highest honors in the culinary world. He also has 28 restaurants scattered across the United States, several of which are located in Caesars properties.
Ramsay’s Kitchen will be one of the premium dining options at Caesars Virginia, but he also owns other concept restaurants bearing his name, like Gordon Ramsay HELL’S KITCHEN, Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay, Ramsay’s Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay Steak, Gordon Ramsay Burger, Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza, and Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips.
