ESPN BET will premiere live betting and streaming of PGA Tour Live events beginning on February 6 with the WM Phoenix Open on ESPN+ and during all FedEx Cup events throughout the 2025 PGA Tour season.
New Spin on Golf
Penn Entertainment announced its partnership with the PGA Tour in May of 2024 in a multi-year sports betting deal that was a first for the PGA Championship.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with PENN Entertainment and immerse ESPN BET into the spectator experience throughout the PGA Championship,” said Jeff Price, Chief Commercial Officer of PGA America.
ESPN BET’s endgame was likely revealed recently when it was announced it would be bringing live PGA Tour events to an audience that consisted of golf fans and sports bettors alike. This includes all FedEx Cup events that will be streamed live through ESPN+ with relevant data, live betting analysis, and current odds provided by ESPN BET.

A competition feed with a focus on odds and wagers has been a goal of the PGA TOUR since our agreement with ESPN+ first began in 2022, and we are proud to make that vision a reality today with the support of our new partner, PENN Entertainment,” said Scott Warfield, PGA Tour Vice President of Gaming.
The WM Phoenix Open is also called the People’s Open, as it is known for being rowdier than most tournaments and will be an ideal event to kick off ESPN BET’s new betting angle golf broadcasts through its partners at the PGA Tour and ESPN+.

Retail Sportsbook Rebrand
As ESPN BET continues its pursuit of increased market share in the digital sports betting realm, its parent company, Penn Entertainment, has decided the time was right to rebrand 10 of its retail sportsbooks to reflect the ESPN BET brand.
Retail locations in Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, and Ohio have already been rebranded, but now the phase has begun with ESPN BET makeovers to the following retail sportsbooks.
- Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs in Iowa
- Pennsylvania’s three Hollywood casinos in Grantville, York, and Washington
- Hollywood Gaming racinos in Ohio’s Youngstown and Dayton
- Ameristar Casino Black Hawk in Colorado
- Ameristar East Chicago
- Hollywood Lawrenceburg in Indiana
- Hollywood Casino Charles Town in West Virginia
Name recognition is paramount in establishing a recognizable brand and Penn Entertainment has recently been slapping its ESPN BET on just about anything associated with its sports betting brand. There are now 19 ESPN BET sportsbooks across the nation.
