Fanatics Betting & Gaming has recently announced its online sportsbook and iGaming launch in the Wolverine State, expanding its rapidly growing footprint in the U.S. mobile gambling market.
PointsBet Deal Bearing Fruit
In June of last year, Fanatics outbid DraftKings to land the U.S. assets of PointsBet including the markets in which they operated. Although the migration from PointsBet to Fanatics has been dictated by regulatory compliance issues with Fanatics being a new vendor than the original licensee, PointsBet, customers in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia were greeted with “PointsBet, A Fanatics Experience” in September before it rebranded completely to Fanatics.
Back then Fanatics CEO Matt King said, “We are excited about what we are building at Fanatics Betting and Gaming and this acquisition accelerates our plans. We have a 10-year plan that focuses on the customer and not market share.”
“We are going to acquire customers efficiently, allowing us to return savings to customers by investing in the customer experience at Fanatics Sportsbook and PointsBet, a Fanatics Experience,” King added.
That plan is being executed with clinical precision and Michigan is the latest of the PointsBet territories to now be completely capitulated to Fanatics Betting & Gaming. This is the 13th state in which the company has launched its mobile sportsbook and the third in which one will find its online casino app.
“Today in Michigan only, each PointsBet customer’s username, password, account balance, rewards points, and responsible gaming settings will be automatically migrated to the Fanatics Sportsbook,” according to a company press release.
A Fanatics Experience
On the sportsbook side, Fanatics has promised “fast signup, easy betting, and transparent withdrawals.”
The Fanatics system was designed and engineered on iOS and Android, platforms which makes the user’s experience even more intuitive. And because of the symmetry between Fanatics the sports merchandise company, and Fanatics Betting & Gaming, the mobile gambling company, customers will receive 5% of their wagers in FanCash, which can be spent on bonus bets or sports merch at Fanatics.com.
As for the iGaming section of the Fanatics sports betting app, there will be plenty to experience with the help of Fanatics’ several different technology partners. Below are just some features of what online casino customers in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and now Michigan can expect.
- IGT Play Digital: Fanatics Casino players can enjoy a range of highly engaging IGT PlayDigital games including many of the classic titles that iGaming players love including Cash Eruption™, Fortune Coin™ and Cleopatra™, as well as a suite of MegaJackpots™ titles, proprietary table games, and video poker content.
